Introduction: To have a clean conscience towards God, it is necessary to abandon the works of the law and live by grace, even if we have weaknesses in our flesh.

 

1. THE LAW COULD NOT GIVE A CLEAN CONSCIENCE
a. Heb 10:1,2

The law, can never give a perfect conscious because it was a shadow of things to come, not the very image of things

b. Heb 7:18,19 For the law made nothing perfect, because of it's weaknesses
   
2. IN GRACE WE CAN HAVE A CLEAN CONSCIENCE
a. Heb 10:14 By one offering, He has perfected forever the sanctified
b. Heb 10:15-18 "their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more"
c. Heb 10:19-22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith
d. Heb 9:26 but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin
e. Heb 9:14 The blood of Christ provides the cleansing of your conscience from dead works to serve the living God
   
3. IN GRACE WE CAN HAVE A CLEAN CONSCIENCE
a. Heb 10:29 how much more punishment for the ones that trampled the blood of Christ underfoot...?
   
4. IF A BELIEVER FALLS AWAY IN THE FLESH, WHAT HAPPENS?
a. Heb 6:4-6 it is impossible to renew them again to repentance
b. Heb 12:5 for who the Lord loves He chastens... His Sons
